The first time somebody joint the international FTW ride for PEACE was in 2005. The team was made up of one participant. The team today, 2008, has tripled to 6 active members and a few other supporters. This year, 2008 the team will be 5 participants of which, 3 are new.

The UAE, as many Arab countries, is special in that the Media is mainly sympathetic towards the Palestinian issue and that the majority are Arabs who are well aware of the situation.

The only problem with a place like Dubai is the lack of sponsorship culture and absolute ban on charity collections, as you know it in the west. Hence all participants pay their own way to take part in the ride.
