Having Arab local participants riding together with the women from abroad is an essential part to achieve our specific goals and create understanding and friendship and make a difference in their lives.

As you know cycling is not a common activity for women in Jordan, therefore we have been trying hard to train beginners to cycle. Most of them are students and we are encouraging also girls from underprivileged communities, so they can be empowered and have a chance for interaction with women from outside Jordan.

We have been training since the beginning of the year twice weekly with many trying it out, some will participate only in Jordan while others are determined to go for the whole FTW ride.

We are working hard on the programme and trying to get local sponsorship, as a hosting country.
